How well do I know about breast cancer? I can’t give you qualified answer for that. But what I do know is that it’s one of the scariest thing in this world which could take away someone whom I loved so very much. I had to watch my grandma slowly dying because of that stupid breast cancer thing, she passed away after several years struggling and suffering.

Since then, my mom has always been aware of breast cancer… of course we realize that we have bigger chance to get affected. She’s been taking me and herself for medical check up once every year to have our breasts examined.

I lost my grandma years ago when I was in middle school. At that time I didn’t know many women who had breast cancer other than her. But today… I see more and more of them have it. My friend’s moms and grandmoms, my friends’ aunts, relatives… and even my own friend at campus (ET Ayu). She had a surgery to remove the cancer, but then she said it started growing again. She needs to have another surgery, but guess what… she doesn’t have enough money to afford it so she can’t have it anytime soon, yet.

By supporting the campaign it will help women to realize how important it is to get to know about breast cancer and how to prevent it. It’s even way cooler if you had some $$$ and wanted to donate it to your local organizations which take care of this stuff, to help people like my friend ET Ayu.

I know that it is very hard to create some ideas and then translate it into some designs. Most of the time ideas don’t pop like magic in your head. Inspirations don’t come while you’re smoking and wandering in the toilet like they wrote in Lupus novels. Inspirations come from seeing, watching, hearing, experiencing… and sometimes you get inspired by other people’s work. No one has the right to say that it is wrong. Even famous artists and designers get inspired by each other and other people’s work.

But inspiration is different from imitation. When you imitate other people’s work, you copy the same exact thing. Basically what you do is just re-producing. Not only ripping their whole concept and ideas but also copying the colors, pictures, copy pasting / a little editing on the CSS file, erasing credits to the original creator. Like it ain’t enough, you claim it that it’s all yours, taking all the praises and glory for yourself… and then calling yourself an artist. LOL.

Despite from if imitating is against the rules or not, if it is a sin or not… Definitely it is not recommended for someone to do such things… If you insist means that you’re ready for the risk of getting humiliated. Cus when public finds it out, usually you’re just gonna make yourself look like a complete loser.

On the next day Lia treated me for a three hours spa at this salon… it was bcus she was gonna have her graduation on Saturday hehehe. And we went to Citos to play at Timezone. I broke my record for the basketball game (55! yeah!) and we finally finished the Jurassic Park! It was a great exercise, sure we don’t always need to go to the gym to work out hehe. When we got very tired, we bought some ice cream. Eating your fave ice cream while walking down the way in the mall… wearing your fancy clothes… the music was playing… lots of guys… or gurls… turn their heads to look at you and had their eyes on you from head to toes (oh wait… I think they wanted your ice cream hehehe)… nothing else to think or to worry about… How can life be more perfect… or should I say beautiful… than that? Deep down in my heart I knew that something was missing.

…3 bulan menuju sidang… why haven’t I freaked out yet.. Gosh…

I was out of town for a week, doing a research with my campus in Sukabumi (about 4 hours from Jakarta). I was planning to write the whole story about the research, but at my last day there I got a call from my Dad telling me a bad news that we’ve had lost our beloved cousin Baron, he suffered from Malaria Tropica and he couldn’t make it after 5 days being sick.

Few days ago I bought a new domain. Like usual, I couldn’t pick a name but thank God, Marie helped me out. She told me to name it after my fave song. I got few selections of songs, two of them were Stick With You and Geek In The Pink. Geek In The Pink kinda describes me well I guess, I’m a geek in some ways *hueheh* and I lurve pink. But Stick With You sounds neat. Somebody else has taken the [dot]com so I go with [dot]net.

They welcome us and took us to a room with 2 beds. And then they asked us to lay down. But Ciella took her jeans off, I was like… “Hey, what are you doing that for?” And she said, “Hehehe sorry I didn’t tell you. I’m gonna have my legs waxed.” I laughed. Well, waxing thing wasn’t familiar for me, it’s not a usual thing to do… I guess… What I knew was that when women here wanted to remove hairs from their legs they usually shaved. So I was excited cus I got to see something new (hahaha norak banget deee sooo cheesy).

She insisted me to try it. They were like “No it doesn’t hurt at all. Seriously!” I trusted them so I agreed. But shesssssshhhhhhhhh… It DID HURT!!! That was the most serious torture EVER! Ouch! Ouch! OUCH! AaaAaaAaa! I couldn’t stop screaming everytime they pulled that paper thing off my skin, I almost cried! After that, Ciella said she wanted to have bikini wax. I was like “What’s that?” My eyes got bigger and bigger when she tried to explain it to me. I saw the process when they did it to her and I had my mouth open as wide as Tondano Lake. I can’t imagine how that feels and I don’t want to imagine it! When they insisted me to have it too, I didn’t want to trust them anymore… But they kept pushing me and held my legs so I had to run outside still with my towel on!

Sorry! I’ll think about that later but I’m not ready for that one yet now!

The days is getting more hectic and getting a little bit tensed. I’m gonna have final exams next week, but there are a lot of stuffs bothering my mind, and a lot of stuff to do and to get done. Means less time to prepare for the finals. A lot of stuffs that just got me real pissed… Such as (here comes the whining part)

I have 3 occasions that I must attend this week, or else my sunday school leader is gonna get mad at me. Commitment is a commitment, but it’s so stressing. We were surprised by a news K’Sandra told us, about one of ex sunday school teacher who did something to some of the kids parents. Can’t write here what she did, exactly… but it was something not good and she did it by using our names. That’s why we got so pissed about it.

My cellphone is broken. It’s dead. The only cellphone that I got. There are a lot of phone numbers I store there, and I don’t have the back up… now it’s history and I can’t contact these people when I really need to.

My statistics research methods class is doing this research during this semester and we’re gonna spread the quetionnaire in June at this village out of town. We’re gonna stay there for a week. But then we’ve just heard yesterday that a mountain near the village, Mount Merapi, just erupted yesterday… that’s really shocking… There are around 4,500 people living in that area and they’re being evacuated, we hope that they’re gonna be fine. If the mountain errupts when we’re there… I can’t imagine what we’re gonna do, so I’m still a little bit shocked.

Designing thing. I was online for 18 hours straight last Saturday to do this work. And no, it wasn’t easy, it almost got me flipped out just to think how the content can stretch when you change browser and how I should slice the images, and think of how the shadow can still stay on the sides even when the content strech. That was C R A Z Y. And I’m not saying that I’m playing smart. Cus I’m not. Bcus I’m stupid that’s why I needed 18 hours to get that work done. If I’m not happy about something, I would say it out loud. If after getting dizzy spending 18 hours in front of my computer without having any life at all on saturday night… and then you can’t show just a little tiny bit of an appreciation of it… I’m gonna say that I’m not happy. I object!

So there. I’m done whining. Sorry blog, you’re gonna have to be my junkbin this time. And thanks everyone for wasting your time reading this.

Anyways, last Wednesday I went to the immigration office to apply for my passport renewal cus it’s due this August. I wanted to do it before the World Cup 2006 starts next month. Huh? What does it have to do with the World Cup? Haha if you ask that question to the employees at Tangerang immigration office you’ll get the perfect answer. Learning from an experience 4 years ago (2002) when I took my brother to apply for his passport. Not only the employees were working sooo slow, we were waiting from the early morning on the queue until like about 3pm when it was finally my bro’s turn to have his passport signed and they suddenly said “Sorry, you’re gonna have to wait cus the World Cup is starting at 3, we can’t miss it.” Heh??? lol. The funny thing was that most of the other visitors there (the guys) didn’t mind at all cus they also watched it with them. And the women could only bite their lips and try to wait patiently eheh…

Well at least, for a month we’re gonna have less traffics… and my country’s gonna have something to get excited with and forget those RUU APP controversies and those other issues for a while… plus your guys will have a reason to spend more time to stay at home. Are you gurls with me?

I started having my website since 2002 but it wasn’t a personal site… I only put my pixel drawings and dollmakers there. I got to be closer with some visitors, and one of them was Marie *waves to Marie* . She was the one who kept telling me to start blogging just so we could read each other’s journals and comment on each other’s posts.

So there, in June 2005 I started to put a blog in my site. To be honest, at first I didn’t understand why people would like to expose their personal lives on the net. Buttt… now I do. If I didn’t blog maybe I wouldn’t have met K’Tina, Engeltje, Zahira, Susan, Paola, Tay-Tay, Amanda, Ange, Sherly, Judith, Violette, Brenda, K’Dewi, Mama Vie, Chrissy… and all of you I haven’t mentioned, you know who you are! I never imagined that I could fell in love with these gurls. Even tho I’ve never met most of you in person, but it feels like I’ve known you forever.

I think it’s bcus we get to know what each other’s feels by reading their blog, you know what’s inside their heart, like… straight. Something that you can barely do normaly in real (please correct me if I’m wrong).

A blog has been a place for me to do my hobby, which is “coding” *geeky mode on* A blog also helped me, K’Tina and Engeltje to open a door and opportunity to make Zee-M… Who knows maybe a blog could also lead my soulmate’s way to me? :shocked: :huh: :woot: :haha:

Anyways, next I’m gonna have Marie, Zahira, Violette, K’Dewi, and Mama Vie to do this homework! How did your blog change your lifeee?

I think that we’ve had this question in our mind at least once, when someone or something that we truly love and need leaves us or gone. Is our God really someone who doesn’t care at all, is He really that mean to take something away from you when He knew that you loved and needed them so much? How do we know what’s inside His heart, how do we understand His plans for us?

When I was little, I loved drinking warm vanilla milk with no sugar from a milk bottle. That’s why I had so many milk bottles at my house, and I loved loved loved all of my milk bottles so much. I couldn’t even sleep if I didn’t have a milk bottle in my arm.

Until the age of 4, I still couldn’t be too far away from a milk bottle and that kinda made my Mom worried. I was getting older and bigger and gonna go to kindergarten and I still couldn’t live with milk bottles around? She didn’t want that. So she collected all of my bottles and she told me she was gonna give them to the kids out there who needed them more than I did but didn’t have enough money to buy them. I was very sad, but I let her did that. My Mom said that at that time she felt sad too… especially when she saw me helping her packing those bottles, but she thought that all of it was for my own good.

First nights were pretty rough, cus I was not used sleeping without a bottle around me. I cried and cried cus it felt so uncomfortable… My Mom had to tuck me in and she hugged me while I was crying until I fell asleep in her arm. At that moment she said it was so hard for her cus her heart was torn to hear me crying. She almost brought the bottle for me again so I didn’t have to be sad anymore, but she decided not to do it. Until a couple of weeks after that I got used to sleep without having milk bottle, and she didn’t have to accompany me sleeping anymore.

I think that’s also how God feels when He has to let someone or something we love leaves us or taken away from us. He let those happen so we can grow being more mature and more independent. He was actually preparing ourselves to receive a bigger better deal in the end. He does hear us crying and He’s torn to hear it, He feels our pain too. But He knows that if He always gives us what we want, we’re not gonna be something that He’s already prepared us to be. He let us suffer, but actually He never leaves us, He’s there hugging us, wraping us around His arms and taking care of us and always be there for us through the process until the time when we can overcome the obstacles become stronger than we were before.

It was very funny that once when Marvy (her boyfriend) wanted to have a haircut, Lia told him to have a haircut like Elliot’s. And he didn’t say no. Kekeke. Lia never really went online that much before, the only sites she knew were only Yahoo, Hotmail, and Friendster. But nowww she goes online like A LOT to find everything about Elliot and even joined his fans club forum. Hihihi. It’s very cute cus she often calls me before posting something in that forum to ask how she should say “this or that” in english… once she asked me what “LOL” meant cus people in that forum seemed to write that word all the time… heheheheh. One of my friends now has been converted into a geek like me, that’s good

I had a very weird dream few nights ago… I was in a secluded island with few people and one of them was Elliot. And then they were having some meal but I couldn’t have it cus there was a dinosaur covering my way. Then Elliot was trying to be nice, he didn’t want me to get hungry so he threw my head with a coconut…

She’s sooo cuteee. Her name is Bella, almost 1 year old, she’s so small and she really loves to play and jumping around, she’s so hyper! I just got her 3 days ago, I bought her from Marvy (Lia’s boyfriend). They actually still wanted to keep her but Marvy’s Mom is getting old and tired while Marvy is always busy at work so they couldn’t take care of her anymore.

When they offered Bella to me I said YES immediately… uhmmm without telling anyone at our house. It’s been 2 years since Chico and Shiro passed away, and my Mom didn’t want us to have dogs again cus they always messed my Mom’s garden

Anyways, when my fam came home from Bandung late at night they got a welcome dance from Bella at the gate, they were so surprised. Haha. But it ended up everyone fell in love with her, even my Mom! Hihihi.

Bella isn’t as greedy as Chico and Shiro hehe but she really loves it when I cook some soup and mix it with steamed rice. Marvy said she loves to play catching ball but he forgot to bring her ball. So I just play cat and dog with her. She loves chasing me around, and then when she bite my toes she would run away and I would have to catch her. That is a good exercise for me *hosh hosh hosh* hehe. I wanna teach her how to dance with “hips dont lie”, so she can shake her hips like Shakira, hehehe.

It doesn’t mean that I stop pixeling, I just wanted to try something new once in a while. For me, even tho it’s much cheaper but Paint Shop Pro is still the best paint program ever invented You can always switch themes if you don’t like this one… (or in case that girl’s pic up there scares u, hehe).

Btw, happy Kartini’s Day to all girls in this world. Women rule!

We’ve been working extremely hard for our plans to work out, we’ve been thinking about every single details, and staying up late for the last 3 weeks… not sleeping at all on Saturday nights. And suddenly just by a blink of an eye everything’s gone. It feels like, when you work on your assignment so hard and your lecture just throws it away and say “this is trash!”. I’m still thankful tho that we’re not giving up, we even became more solid than ever.

Altho I’m not sure I can stay up late for another month, this is not good. Especially on Saturdays, I always come late the next morning to sunday school and always miss the opening prayer for teachers. There’s a rule that when u’re late 3 times in a row u have to treat the whole teachers. And they wanted me to buy Bread talk next week (which I hope they were only joking!). Ok let’s do the math. The cheapest bread there would cost around 6,000 rupiah x 28 … WOOT *eyes almost popped out* 168,000 rupiahs!!! waaa I even only have 5,000 in my purse right now. Ummm… maybe next week I’m gonna have at least 10,000… I’m gonna buy one bread for the whole 28 people… one bite for one person like the elders communy, eheh.

This morning the kids asked “where are the egggsss why we don’t have eggs today?” Awww I’m sorry hun… we can’t mess the place up cus we are not using our own place, the owner of this building will get mad. We’re gonna have the celebration next 2 weeks on the 29th, you’re gonna have lots of eggs then. So wait for Happy Easter part II hehe.

Why do we always have eggs on Easter? The history actually didn’t come from the Bible but from our ancestors tradition. The meaning of Easter itself is the risen of Christ, rising means a new life. And eggs are also a sign of a new life.

And why rabbits? Rabbits are reminder of Spring and they are also symbolized with fertility. They were the favorite animal of the Spring pagan goddess Eostre. Well that was a bit about some symbols of Easter (sekilas infooo kekeke).

My Easter was filled with retreat for 2 days from Friday to Saturday at Sentul. We learnt about Christology. And today I had to attend 3 services in a row (oh mah gawwwh). One at 5 am. In Indonesia we have tradition attending Easter service very early in the morning, just like how Mary Magdalene and her dudettes found Jesus’ grave missing really early in the morning. So yeah. After that I had sunday school, they had a little game arranging puzzle of cross and the fastest won. Kak Ruth got mad at me cus I helped some kids (waaa… I only helped them peel off the tape so they could stick the puzzle on the paperrr.) After sunday school we attended the regular service and I successfully falling asleep there. I couldn’t hold it anymore was so tired

My friend from elementary passed away… his name is Rama and he was Ciella’s ex boyfriend. (btw, I’m writing this with her permit). It’s quite funny that when I’m with Ciella we always talk about him. It was obvious that Rama still loved her. We always told her that if she still loved him she should let him know about it, but what Ciella always did was covering her true feelings and acted up like she didn’t care at all. Now, everything is too late. No matter how hard we cry, he’s not gonna come back…

I didn’t see any of our friends came to his funeral not even to this service at his house. Only me, Ciella, his fam, and some people from his church. Everyone was busy calling us asking why he passed away. And some even making bad assumptions. Ummm… he’s gone and what u can do only talking trash behind his back about how he died? One of my friends said “I’m worried he’s not going to Heaven.” Ahemmm, ok… what made u say that? Just becus u’re so active at church doesn’t mean u can tell who’s going to Heaven and who’s not. U’re not any better than him, nether am I. Things like that can really get on my nerve.

These last 3 weeks have been so hard for me, but I hope I passed my exams.

Went to Sentul with my family for a church’s occassion. That place was great. It was tiring cus my Mom was the one who cook for that occassion and I had to help her (well I only helped her peel off some prawns skins hehe).

Yesterday I had some photoshoots with Ciella, Deasy and Nicky. Ciella used us to be her model for her make up line. It was so cool, she made my skin really dark, and Deasy’s skin looked really oriental. Nicky took the pics cus he’s good in it.

Anywhooo… I was away for a while cus I had to work on the paper I told you about, ok I’m gonna share a little bit about it. The paper was for Social Research Methods class. We had to make this proposal to do a research about small industries. Well, I was lacking of inspiration… So I just sit there in front of my PC… thinking… and thinking… daydreaming… getting hungry… falling asleep… *head hitting keyboard* That was pretty much what I did for approximately 5 hours.

I got sooo panic cus it almost reached the deadline (which was the next day)! And I was so desperate cus my brains didn’t wanna be co’operative with me. So in the middle of the desperado moments, I just took some time, and prayed… “God please please please give me smart brains just for a second at least until I finish this paper, cus if I can’t finish it then I’m gonna be a dead meat. Pleaseee I really need Your help…” I was so serious that I closed my eyes so tight!

Few minutes later I just grabbed some text book and read it, did some search on Google… and then inspiration starting to came… I typed and typed and typed, it just flow and finally after struggling for 3 hours it was done! YAY hurayyy!

I was sooo thankful not only that I finally finished the proposal, but also later on when we got the result, I got 80 out of 100 and it was the highest in my class (wow I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never been the brightest crayon in my box aka my uni)… Mbak Mila (who was a PA in that class) told me “Sheilla, your proposal was sooo good, you did a great job on it.” If you read my post few month ago about how she got bad impression of me… It was so meaningful to me that she said such sweet things like that.

I prayed I only asked Him to help me finishing the paper but He gave me a lot more than that and I don’t know if I even deserve it. A lot lot lot more that I never even asked or thought about. Hehehe thank YOU so much! Ok that’s all I wanted to share tonight, now I need to catch some sleep. HUGSSS.

5 Weird Things

I got this from Mama Vie, Kak Dewi, and Sherly. They wrote 5 things they think were weird about them. So here’s mine…

1. Never understand why girls love Luis Vuitton & Celine so much and why they would want to spend thousand dollars over them.
2. Used to be anti-handsome guys becus I THOUGHT they were all full of crap (sorry abt my language eheh).
3. I like eating noodles (Indomie goreng) mixed with sweet milk (susu kental manis).
4. When I’m having a sad time, I go to the movies by myself and watch some funny movies.

Happy birthday Mom!!! She had her birthday on the 16th last Thursday. Thanks for being a loving Mom for us, we love you sooo much! We celebrated it with a dinner with our family, my aunt and my cousin at Bakmi GK. That restaurant had new style and decoration, I think it was cute but the tables were much smaller and my aunt kept complaining about it… eheh

A friend from youth (ummm to keep it safe I better not mention his name) asked me to go out to a Valentine evening this Saturday night, it’s called “A Valentine Evening For The Singles”. We have to bring a gift to that party and we’ll trade it with the other visitor. Seems like a party to find a boyfriend and girlfriend or something like that. But I don’t wanna go cus I have so many papers to work on and the other reason is because I think that party sounds… uhm… dumb? … (sorry)

I need to get my homework and papers done this weekend. I’m not gonna whine about it, I’ll just laugh… ok laugh… HAHAHAHA. That will relief all stress kekeke.

I’m so tired watching all these protests on TV. It’s so horrible that it’s starting to cause some deaths. I really understand how they feel about it, it’s not very wise of Jillan Newspaper to have such things like caricatures that would offend other people’s beliefs. Hey! have some respect. But I guess it got a little bit too much overreacting. I mean… burning down KFC? McDonald’s? Movie teathers? US Flags? and even causing some deaths… What for? The States, North Korea or any other countries didn’t have anything to do with that caricature things, so why making thing looks much bigger than how it actually is…

Yesterday I went to Plaza Senayan to get her a birthday cake. The thing was that Agnes is a “macho” kinda girl and she doesn’t like anything related to HEARTS, PINK, or FLOWERS. And you know yesterday was a day before Valentine’s day and all of the cakes they had were heart shaped and they were all pink… Gosh I had to ngubek2 rushing here and there struggling with other girls and guys who hunted some cakes, chocolates & flowers (for Valentine) from one cake shop to another… finallyyy I found the one and only big black forest cake at Bread Talk. Thank you so much Bread Talk you saved my life and Agnes’ stomach!

I spent my Valentine evening tonight having a stomachache and mules2. Uhmmmm doesn’t sound very romantic at all ehehe. Why? Because yesterday I ate 4 plates of rice with a bowl of blended chilli+jalapeno+sambel terasi :omg: So yeah, this is a lesson for me, DONT BE GREEDY! kekeke.

Sunday Schooly
I have problem in raising my voice, I think I’ve spoken as loud as I could but still most of the kids in the back couldn’t hear me and that got them distracted and chose to play with each other making the class so noisy. I think I’m gonna have to bring my toa (halophone) next week hehehe.

That’s not the only problem… I forgot to zip my pants until Deasy whispered me telling me that :omg:… lucky me the uniform was kinda long and my pants was not tight. Oh God please not in front of the parents. Hilanglah wibawaku hueheh (uhm like I had one, hehe)

My leader talked to us telling us to keep wearing our uniform until we go home, she wanted us to appreciate them who’ve made the uniform, she was like “Are you that embarassed to wear it?”. I know she said that cus she saw me changing after teaching. I was like *ouch* cus she said that in front of the other teachers. I know I was wrong so it’s alright, she’s my leader and I have to respect her authority. I’m sorry Kak I didn’t mean to offend anyone :cry:, I will wear the uniform until we go home next time, I won’t change it maybe I’ll even wear it until the next morning if I have to… :cry:

Franklin hit Jessica and made her crying like crazy. This made some bad chemistry between Jessica’s babysitter and Franklin’s Mom but we’ve tried to talk to Franklin about it and he appologized, I hope he’s gonna grow up being a gentleman and not gonna hurt girls anymore.

Kevin tried to kiss and hug Lydia and it freaked her out, he chase her around the room and Lydia ran away with her roller shoes (how do you call those kind of shoes?). I wonder in what age boys find girls attractive, I mean Kevin is 3 years old he hasn’t even been to school yet… Lydia is older than him she’s in TK B (kindergarten).

Rest of the weekend
I went to Mom’s staff’s wedding party in the evening. Nyum nyummmm… dim sum, kambing guling, kebab croissant, soto padang, sate padang, siomay, es cendol, and the main course… they’re just too yummy to be missed! And then I finished revamping my site plus adding a new theme. I hope you’re gonna like it! HUGGGSSS

Ternyata Sunlight sabun pencuci piring (free ads!) juga bisa digunakan untuk bersihin sepatu putih loh. Baru nyoba nih kemaren, sepatunya di lap aja pake lap kering sama sunlight dikiiit aja, abis itu lapnya dibasahin baru sepatunya di lap lagi. Pasti langsung putih bersih cling clinggg.

The next day at sunday school I was almost dead, cus I didn’t sleep the other night. Fortunately I was only assisting that day, I didn’t have to teach. We’re gonna have a bazaar next week. We’ll give coupons to the kids which they can trade with some cute items in the bazaar, so the bazaar doesn’t use money. The amount of coupons they get depends to their absency for the last 12 months. If they have full absent so they will have around 48 coupons. Now the MOMs were complaining about this yesterday, they said

Mom 1 : My son has never been absent, why he only got 40 coupons?
Mom 2 : Kevin and Jeremy always go together, but how come Jeremy got more coupons?

And the other Moms gave us the same questions which made us extremely dizzy :erm:, but kinda funny too cus they were like some protesters :shocked: while the kids didn’t even complain at all, they just stared at them with their mouths wide opened watching their moms in action :no: I love my kids they’re just so cute :love:, they don’t have to do anything they are already cute just the way they are! :glad:

After the sunday school, I went to my friend’s wedding (Devi). She’s my colleague, and the third person in our alumny who got married :tongue: I posted some pics below.
